After qualifying as a teacher I worked at a number of mainstream primary schools both in Plymouth and in the South East of England where I used to live.  However I realised that my heart was in supporting pupils with special educational needs.

I’ve now been part of the Longcause community for over 15 years and currently teach in an Explorer Plus class. Throughout my time here, I’ve had the privilege of working across the whole school and love how varied each pathway and individual classes are.  I lead science across the school.  Over time my role has evolved and I am now Assistant Headteacher with specific responsibility for leading teaching and learning. 

Moving to Longcause was the best decision I made, and I feel proud every day to help our learners grow and succeed.
