I have always had a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs and I started working at Longcause in September 2014. I have worked in all phases across the school and have had two of my own children, Manny and Ellis, in this time.

My role as Deputy Headteacher is to lead our Explorers Pathway and Total Communication across the school, as well as have a key role in our Safeguarding team. I am passionate about ensuring pupils are able to develop their communication skills and that they can functionally communicate their wants and needs, whether this be through sign, symbol or speech. 

I am also subject lead for Early Reading. My role is to ensure that we have a curriculum that meets our pupils needs. I am committed to ensuring that pupils are given daily opportunities to learn to read and that our children leave Longcause being able to read functionally.
