Admission Arrangements
Please contact Plymouth LA to find out more information about the current admission arrangements for Plymouth. Please see number below.
Admissions to special schools in Plymouth, including Longcause, are determined by a Local Authority Single Multi Agency Panel (SMAP). This Panel is made up of Head Teachers and other professionals that are experienced at working with children with a variety of special needs. The Panel considers all evidence submitted as well as family preference.
Longcause is a school for pupils aged 4 - 16 years of age. All the children at Longcause School have a formal Statement / Education Health Care Plan and have their primary need as being Complex Communication Disorder (including Autism) and a moderate learning disability.
Parents / Carers are welcome to visit our School and if a place is later offered we will work with families to ensure that the transition for your child goes smoothly.
