Occupational Therapy

At Longcause we work very closely with specialist Occupational Therapists, who particularly specialise in sensory integration to further meet the needs of our cohort. Working in collaboration with our lead Occupational Therapist, Richard, we have devised own sets of activities which staff are able to deliver regularly as part of our pupils sensory diets through the creation of pupils' individual Therapy Plans. Pupils are then able to continue sessions with their class team once they have completed an assessment and period of therapy. This includes the relevant training for members of staff carrying out the Therapy Plan.
