In the science department the focus was on Art in the Natural Environment.
Pupils went outside to search for colours in nature and also worked with natural materials, creating stone and shell sculptures.
We were also fortunate to have resources that were donated by the Sensory Trust in Cornwall.
Lynsay and Claire visited our school and donated three huge Sensory boxes from their sensory hub.
The pupils used some of these new resources to colour match objects from out school Nature trail at Pathfields.
They also used the 'smash and smell' resource whcih was everyone's favourite.
Items such as herbs, pine needles and soft fruit were placed in between acetate and smashed with a hammer!
Pupils then smelt the different aromas before doing an observational sketch of their creation!
