E-Safety at Longcause School

Developments in technology and online behaviour provide a wealth of opportunities but also new areas of risk to children and young vulnerable adults including; online abuse, sexual exploitation, exposure to explicit material, radicalisation, identity theft, grooming and cyber-bullying.
It is therefore crucial that Longcause has a plan in place to empower our vulnerable children and young people to use technology safely and to safeguard them from harm. We do this through regular E-Safety weeks, workshop days and through our LLfL curriculum that is tailored to our students.
By doing this, the children at Longcause have access to advice, information, guidance and resources to raise their awareness about potential areas of risk and how to address them; keeping themselves safe online.
